World
Live map
Every online character plotted from live coordinates — Alliance / Horde dots, gold with names = real players. Refreshes every 15 seconds.
Population by zone
| Zone | Characters | Levels | Alliance / Horde | Players here |
|---|
Bots roam and level on their own — refresh over the coming days to watch the population migrate out of the starting zones. Real players are named in the last column.
Game events
| ID | Event | Schedule | Status |
|---|
Start any WotLK seasonal event on demand — Brewfest in March is your prerogative. Manually started events still end on their normal schedule (or stop them here).
Activity Log
| Time | Event | Character | Detail |
|---|
Events are detected as characters save to the database, so they can trail the live world by a few minutes. The feed began when this feature was installed — history grows from here.

Gameobject Placer
Street-level city editing: ~19,000 placeable props (decorations, furniture, doors, chests, mailboxes…). Buildings and terrain live inside the game client and can't be moved.
Everything placed from this panel, across all props. Original world objects are protected and never touched.
Auction House
| Item | Qty | iLvl | Req | Seller | House | Bid | Buyout | Expires |
|---|
Read-only view of the live auction tables. Prices in gold; a gold-lit bid means someone has already bid. Shows up to 300 auctions, best quality first — refine with search or the filters.
Battlegrounds
Occupancy from live character data (membership updates on zone-in/out; positions inside a match are not tracked). Scores are only visible in-game. Refreshes every 15s while open.
Leveling Race
Population by level
Sampled every 10 minutes.

Auction house over time
Gold line = total buyout value listed (gold); white = number of auctions. Hourly samples.
Gold supply
Bot-held (gold) vs player-held (green) total gold, hourly.

Scheduler
Add a job
Times are server-local (24h). No days toggled = every day. Jobs run at, or shortly after, the minute; one missed while the panel was down still runs later the same day. World events: riverpaw, hogger or random (bridged to world_events.lua, fires within ~30s).

| Time | Days | Action | Detail | Last ran |

Lua Scripts
Eluna scripts on the worldserver
| Script | Size | Modified |
|---|
Scripts live in bin/lua_scripts/ and hot-reload without a server
restart. Saving keeps a .bak of the previous version. Errors from a bad script
appear when you reload — check the log line for each script below the table.
World Settings
| Setting | Value |
|---|
Saved to worldserver.conf immediately (previous version kept as .bak). Most changes need a worldserver restart.
Bots
Bot roster
| Bot | Level | Race | Class | Status |
|---|
Actions target one bot: Level up adds a level, Re-gear refreshes equipment, Teleport moves it to a level-appropriate zone, Delete erases the character (the population manager spawns a fresh replacement). Population changes apply after a worldserver restart. Most per-bot actions need the bot to be online.
Battlegrounds — fill player queues
When a real player queues for a battleground, bots join to fill both teams (checked every ~35s; needs online bots in your level bracket on both factions).
Battlegrounds — bots play on their own
Bots continuously start WSG/AB/AV/EotS battles among themselves per level bracket. Adds constant CPU load — watch the Dashboard CPU graph after enabling.
Both switches write playerbots.conf and need a worldserver restart to take effect.
| Setting | Value |
|---|
Saved to playerbots.conf immediately (previous version kept as .bak). Population = MinRandomBots / MaxRandomBots.
Realm
The authserver re-reads this within ~20 seconds — no restart needed. LAN players are handed the LAN address, everyone else the public one. Changing the port also requires WorldServerPort in Settings plus a worldserver restart.
